Spiritualist, Mediums, Scam Artist
Believing in False Gods!

I remember my first reading. I arrived a few minutes early, just in time to see my spiritual healer rip the fresh eviction slip off of her door screen. She greeted me with a cigarette dangling from her lip and then asked me to follow her downstairs. It was an eerie feeling, even from the start. She led me down a dark and smoky stairway until we reached a pit, she called the basement. She invited me to sit down in a flat beanbag chair.
Then, it started. The whole experience was new and completely fascinating even if she was totally and completely wrong about me. Every so often she would turn her head from side to side as if the spirits were telling her something that was important about me. Then she would sit up, point her finger and scream out some bogus statement that wasn’t true at all.
This tactic is called cold reading. The reader knows nothing about you; so they’ll throw out random statements, watch your face expressions and body movements to see which ones will stick. The clever ones will even ask you to write your name and birthday down so they can research your astrological charts using some free service on the Internet. Be Aware! Unfortunately, the problem isn’t the spiritualist or psychics. The problem is the people who go to them. Many are lost and trapped into a world of inner turmoil. They look for guidance, people to help them with their problems, only to find people who are more screwed up than they are. People who I call false Gods!
They’ll tell you exactly what you want to hear. They are the ray of light, a beacon of hope and well sell you the Brooklyn Bridge if you’re gullible enough. It’s not that they prey on the weak; rather they prey on the misinformed. We are all Gods, and each of us has the ability to foretell and create our own lives and futures. We start to believe in false Gods when we discredit our own abilities and invest in others who are just as torn and screwed up as we are. A crazy person cannot teach another how to be sane. They can only teach you how to be crazy.
It is also important to understand that no one can heal you, change you, and chase away your bad spirits without your permission. In the end, you’re the boss and you have the power to make executive decisions about virtually every aspect of your life. So how do you know if a psychic or spiritualist is good or bad? Well, they’re all good and bad. However, you have to decide which ones are going to help you on your spiritual journey and which ones are going to hinder you from reaching your fullest potential. Good teachers will teach you how to change your internal state and attract success, happiness, prosperity and abundance into your life. They won’t live in small shanties, have relationship drama, or have their parole officer banging down their door. So be aware, and never stop believing in yourself.
